We believe in working with partners who are true to their mission of showcasing handmade crafts by working directly with local artisans. One of Kurated Style’s earliest partners is Thorr (means ‘woven’ in Thai), located in Bangkok, Thailand. 

When I met their Founder, Thannapat Kingsuwan, a young Thai woman with an MBA and background in industrial design and product management, I was immediately impressed by her vision. She is deeply committed to providing training, jobs and sustainable income to support the local communities in her hometown of Ubon Ratchathani. 

She also works with many villages across Isan, Thailand’s largest region consisting of 20 provinces in the northeast, to produce quality home and style products that use traditional methods of dyeing and weaving, but with updated colors and designs. The results are a series of beautiful handicrafts that allow artisans to maintain conventional skills working from their remote homes in Kalasin, Mukdahan, etc.  

We share their vision and hope to bring these crafts to market for more people to enjoy. Kurated Style and Thorr have partnered to create a limited collection of home decor and handmade bags that reflect a modern bohemian aesthetic. We worked seamlessly to design our collection, while they provided feedback, mock ups and samples for us to test. 

That collection is receiving great interest from our global customers, and will be available to purchase online when we launch www.kuratedstyle.com in August, 2021. We will continue to partner with Thorr on new products and also distribute their beloved brand in the United States.
